Hypnotherapy, andthe deep rest underneath it.

Hypnotherapy, solution focused therapy and yoga nidra, brought together in sessions built entirely around you. A safe space to look at thoughts, feelings, habits and patterns, and to find that most of what you need is already in there.

What it actually is

Working with the subconscious rather than arguing with it, so you can reach your own inner resources, put down beliefs that have outstayed their welcome, and move towards a bit more freedom.

My approach is informed by mentorship from an experienced psychotherapist with a background in addiction specialism, which brings a deeper understanding of behaviour, emotional patterns, and how change actually happens in people rather than in theory.

The shape of it

What a session looks like.

Nothing about this is mysterious, and nothing happens that you haven't agreed to. You stay in the room and in charge the entire time.

01

A conversation first

Before anything else we talk, by phone or message, whichever feels easier. No commitment, no assessment. You describe what's going on in your own words and I tell you honestly whether I think I can help.

02

Where you're going, not where you've been

Solution focused therapy means we spend most of our time on what you want more of, rather than excavating what went wrong. You do not have to retell the worst thing that ever happened to you in order to feel better.

03

The part where you get to stop

Then we drop into trance, a blend of hypnosis and yoga nidra. You stay aware the whole time. Most people describe it as that realm between sleep and waking, where the mind finally loosens its grip and something else can get a word in.

04

Something small to take away

You'll leave with one thing to notice or try. Small and doable, never homework. Change tends to arrive sideways rather than all at once, and it holds better that way.

What people bring

You don't need a diagnosis to deserve an hour of this.

Chronic stress and overwhelm

Anxiety and racing thoughts

Sleep that won't come, or won't stay

Confidence and self-belief

Habits and behaviours you'd like to loosen

Old patterns that keep repeating

Burnout and running on empty

Feeling disconnected from yourself

Hypnotherapy sits alongside medical care rather than replacing it. If you're under the care of a doctor for something specific, bring that to our first conversation and we'll work out together whether this is the right thing right now. I'd always rather tell you honestly than take a booking.

The niche bit

Yoga nidra, and why it belongs here.

Yoga nidra is a guided practice done lying down, entirely still, somewhere between sleeping and waking. Studied for years with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, it is the most restorative thing I know how to offer.

Blended with hypnotherapy, it does something neither does alone: the nidra settles the body deeply enough that the therapeutic work lands somewhere it can actually stay. This is the combination clients tell me they can't find anywhere else.

Available in person across North Essex, or online. Nidra works beautifully over a video call, from your own floor with your own blankets.

Client reflections

What sessions have felt like.

Candace is a wonderfully kind practitioner who offered me so much compassion during our sessions. She blends the two worlds of hypnotherapy and yoga nidra together so beautifully, and offers something niche but truly needed in the wellness space. I would always leave our sessions feeling deeply rested, with a subtle air of peace that I certainly didn't have beforehand. Thank you Candace for working your magic on me.

You hold space so beautifully and authentically and I felt safe to go deep. The somatics provoked a wonderfully emotional release. I had tears streaming down my cheeks at one stage. The nidra was so special, I managed to find that beautiful realm between sleep and wake which I've often struggled to find.

I suffered a big T trauma before Christmas and I truly believe your session yesterday supported the healing I'm trying to find. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
