Group classes & one-to-one · North Essex

Yoga that listensto the body you brought.

Classes across North Essex offering a way back to body, breath and mind through mindful movement and deeper awareness. Strength and flexibility turn up along the way, but the real practice is the conversation between what you're doing and what you're noticing.

Together

Group classes

Classes run throughout North Essex: a space to slow down, listen inward, and build a more conscious connection between movement and wellbeing. Whether it's your first class or your thousandth, you'll be met where you are.

The timetable shifts with the seasons and the venues, so rather than post one that goes stale, message me and I'll send you what's running this term along with what would suit you best.

Just you

One-to-one yoga

A chance to explore the practice properly: refining alignment, building confidence, and developing a genuinely personal understanding of the mind-body connection. Everything is built around your body, your history and what you actually want from it.

  • Brand new and would rather not start in a room full of people
  • Working around an injury, a condition, or a body that has changed
  • Practising for years and ready to go deeper
  • Wanting a home practice that survives a real week

How I teach

Ten years in, still learning the room.

People tell me the thing I do is feel a room: knowing when to push and when to let everyone lie down. That instinct is the whole job.

Intelligent alignment

Shapes that suit your body, not a body from a poster. Studied with Doug Keller, whose therapeutic approach to anatomy underpins how I sequence and how I adjust.

Breath as the anchor

The breath is the first thing to go when we're stretched thin and the fastest way back. We work with it deliberately, not as an afterthought between poses.

Embodied, not performed

Nobody is watching. The invitation is to turn attention inward and notice what's actually happening, which is a far more interesting practice than getting the shape right.

Held with humour

I believe laughter is medicine and I'm not precious about a class staying solemn. You can take the work seriously without taking yourself seriously.
